WrestleMania 38 set several WWE social media records, beating out this year’s Super Bowl in terms of metrics.
Per the analytics firm Conviva, this year’s event drew 2.2 billion impressions across all of WWE’s social media platforms, higher than the 1.8 billion amassed by February’s Super Bowl LVI.
Per the data, WWE also topped the Super Bowl in the following metrics:
- Engagements – WWE: 87 million vs. Super Bowl: 78 million
- Video Views – WWE: 1.1 billion vs. Super Bowl: 618 million
- Video Watch Time – WWE: 13.1 million hours vs. Super Bowl 3.56 million hours
The show also broke several WWE social media records, including 1.1 billion views across Facebook, Instagram, Snap, TikTok, Twitter, (a 47% increase from WrestleMania 37), 785 million minutes watched (a 29% increase from WrestleMania 37), and 2.2 billion impressions, (a 10% increase from WrestleMania 37).
This year’s two-night event featured numerous memorable moments, including Stone Cold Steve Austin’s return to the ring, Cody Rhodes being revealed as Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent, and Vince McMahon vs Pat McAfee.
