AEW surprised it’s fans on this week’s (June 8) episode of AEW Dynamite, when it announced another new championship to join it’s lineup.
AEW announced the All-Atlantic Championship, with the inaugural champion being crowned in a four-way at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
While the announcement came out of left field, it’s actually something that has been in the works for a while. Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting that AEW has had general plans for the title for months.
PAC was victorious in the first qualifying match for the championship, with the second between Ethan Page and Miro set to take place on next week’s show.
