AEW president Tony Khan broke his silence regarding the arrest of AEW star Jeff Hardy earlier today (June 14) after a day of being asked about the situation.
Khan stated that he and Hardy had spoken following the event, and that Jeff would be suspended without pay until he can pass a sobriety test from the company.
Fans had wondered why it took Khan or AEW so long to issue a statement on the situation, but per Dave Meltzer, Khan was waiting until he had spoken to Hardy personally before issuing the statement.
Hardy’s suspension will change the scheduled three-way tag team Ladder match for tomorrow night’s Road Rager show, which the company has yet to make an announcement regarding.
