A current AEW star has revealed the role he turned down prior to signing with the company.
Daniel Garcia has become a consistently used young star for All Elite Wrestling since his arrival, especially since his association with Chris Jericho in the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Speaking on Talk Is Jericho, the AEW star explained why he turned down work for the promotion.
He said:
“I just did [work with AEW] in May and the experience for me, personally, it didn’t feel great. I really enjoyed the extra work the first time I did it in AEW, but the second round, it was kind of like, whatever … [AEW] reached out again for me to do it for the Double of Nothing Pay-Per-View and I was just kind of over it. I said no, I turned it down.”
Garcia officially signed with AEW in October 2021 and joined the Jericho Appreciation Society with Jericho, Jake Hager, Matt Menard and Angelo Parker in March of this year.
The group will face Eddie Kingston, Santana, Ortiz and the Blackpool Combat Club in the Blood and Guts Match on the June 29 edition of AEW Dynamite in Detroit.
