Tomohiro Ishii will be the NJPW representative to compete in the All Atlantic Championship match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Ishii defeated Clark Connors during Tuesday’s New Japan Road show to punch his ticket for this Sunday’s (June 26) crossover pay-per-view.
He had previously scored a victory over Yoshinobu Kanemaru to advance to Tuesday’s official qualifier.
Ishii joins Pac and Miro, who have already qualified for the title match. The final challenger will be decided on Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite, with Malakai Black set to take on Penta Oscuro.
Several new champions will definitely be crowned at Forbidden Door. In addition to the inaugural AEW All Atlantic Championship bout, Jon Moxley will battle Hiroshi Tanahashi for the interim AEW World Title, and FTR, United Empire & Roppongi Vice will face off in a ROH & IWGP Tag Team Title Winner Takes All bout.
Other title matches slated for the event include Will Ospreay vs Orange Cassidy for the IWGP US Championship, and Thunder Rosa vs Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Championship.
