The final qualifying match to determine the NJPW representative for the AEW All Atlantic Title bout at Forbidden Door is set.
At Sunday’s AEW x NJPW crossover pay-per-view, a fourway bout will take place to crown crown the inaugural All Atlantic Champion. With three spots in the match designated to AEW stars, the fourth participant will be a NJPW representative.
Tomohiro Ishii will face Clark Connors in a qualifying match on Tuesday’s (June 21) New Japan Road show. At Monday’s event, Ishii scored a victory over Yoshinobu Kanemaru, and Connors defeated Tomoaki Honma to advance to the final qualifying match.
Several other new champions are guaranteed for Forbidden Door, with Jon Moxley set to face Hiroshi Tanahashi for the vacant AEW World Championship, and FTR, United Empire and Roppongi Vice to meet in a ROH & IWGP Tag Team Title Winner Takes All bout.
