New NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions were crowned at today’s New Japan Road event.
Hirooki Goto, Yoshi-Hashi and YOH of CHAOS defeated The House of Torture’s EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi and SHO to win the titles in the main event of the July 5 show.
The House of Torture were the third longest NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions with a 241-day reign, which started in November 2021.
Goto and Yoshi-Hashi just finished up a stint in All Elite Wrestling, competing at the Forbidden Door event with a win over The Factory’s QT Marshall and Aaron Solo on the Buy In.
The CHAOS duo also faced AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks in a loss on last Friday’s AEW Rampage.
