A both bloody and brutal battle to kick off AEW Dynamite tonight (July 27) for the Fight for the Fallen edition, supporting Oceana.
After being busted open relatively quickly into the match, Jon Moxley continued to bleed throughout the battle as Rush numerous times wiped Mox’s blood on himself, demonstrating his commitment to violence and brutality, also using the camera cords at ringside to choke Mox.
When there was a distraction at ringside by Jose the Assistant, it opened up an opportunity for Andrade El Idolo to capitalize and knock Mox off the top rope, however after a run in from the Lucha Brothers ran Rush’s posse off, it was back to a 1:1 battle.
Rush kicked out of a Death Rider but amidst the shock, immediately put him in a Bulldog submission hold and tapped out Rush with Mox flying the middle finger as the bell rang and he retained his AEW Interim World Championship.
The celebration was short lived however as Mox’s music was interrupted by the sounds of Judas and the Jericho Appreciation Society appeared to greet the “AEW Galaxy” with Angelo Parker commanding the fans to “Appreciate us!”
