Tag team names are important, because if they’re terrible, like The Viking Experience, then everyone laughs at you and you’re immediately seen as a joke.
Thankfully, most tag team names aren’t terrible (like The Viking Experience), but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for change now and then.
AEW tag team Bear Country, which is the team of Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson, has been given a brand new name, and not only that, but they’ve been given a new manager in the form of JT Davidson.
Bear Country will now go by the name the Iron Savages, because Iron is hard, and savages are scary. It all makes total sense, unlike The Viking Experience.
The team debuted the new name and their new manager during the latest AEW Dark tapings, and won all of their three matches, including a match against Vary Morales & Levis Valenzuela, who is the former No Way Jose in WWE.
Let’s see if the new name can bring them renewed success in AEW’s tag division.
The Viking Experience was a bad name.
