Edge Confirms WWE Judgment Day Feud Wasn’t The Original Plan WWE

Edge has commented on backstage changes made to his storyline with the Judgment Day faction.

Edge aligned himself with Damian Priest at WrestleMania 38 in April, before Rhea Ripley joined the group at WrestleMania Backlash in May.

On the June 6 edition of Raw, Finn Balor joined the faction, before he, Ripley and Priest kicked Edge out.

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Edge confirmed that him being kicked out of Judgment Day wasn’t the original plan.

Discussing his current feud with the group, Edge said:

“So far, I’ve had a blast going to work and getting to do a storyline with Priest and Balor and Rhea (Ripley). It was kind of floating there for a little while. Now, it’s getting a direction and that’s really, really fun. We had to make some changes due to injuries and stuff like that, and you just have to adapt.”

Edge will face Damian Priest on the August 22 edition of WWE Raw in Toronto. He last wrestled at Hell in a Cell in June, teaming with Priest and Ripley to face AJ Styles, Liv Morgan and Finn Balor.
