Tony Khan was said to have been “fired up” at a mandatory talent meeting for the AEW locker room today ahead of AEW Dynamite.
After word first broke that the AEW locker room was going to be taking part in a mandatory meeting ahead of tonight’s AEW Dynamite with boss Tony Khan, now word has emerged about what went down during said meeting.
According to the updated report from Fightful Select, there were several notable dynamics at play during the meeting.
Per the report, the meeting took place between 3pm and 4pm EST and perhaps unsurprisingly, the locker room was met by a “fired up” Tony Khan.
A report from PWInsider noted Khan’s demeanor as “very animated” and “impassioned.”
Khan was said to have spoken about new systems and infrastructures that were recently implemented to benefit talent. Talent were noted to have been briefed via email recently about several of the new coaches and talent relations staff.
There was reportedly discussion of access to Khan himself as well.
Several fascinating topics were also said to have been covered including working as a team, communication as well as “who talent can talk to.”
Also on hand at the meeting and who reportedly spoke were EVP’s Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.
Per Fightful’s report, the EVPs were said to have made it clear that their door is always open and that they are available to talent for concerns as well.
As far as reported “contract tampering” accusations, the meeting was said to have addressed that as well.
