AEW star Matt Menard has thrown shade on Eddie Kingston following recent backstage drama.
Eddie Kingston has now reportedly served a suspension following a recent backstage altercation with former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara. Kingston reportedly took issue with something Guevara said during a promo that ultimately didn’t make it to air.
Daddy Magic has taken to Twitter, to reference the backstage altercation, noting:
“Been telling you for a year, Eddie Kingston is a b**ch. Do you believe me now?”
We can’t be 100% certain on whether this is a work or shoot comment, but perhaps it does suggest that the issues between Kingston and Guevara could be turned into part of their storyline even though the altercation was completely legitimate.
Eddie Kingston had been feuding with the Jericho Appreciation Society since the edition of Dynamite after the Revolution pay-per-view in March. It was at this show that Chris Jericho, Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Angelo Parker and Matt Menard united together to form the stable. Sammy Guevara, Tay Melo and Anna Jay all joined the group at later dates.
Kingston hasn’t wrestled for AEW since his barbed wire bout with Chris Jericho at Dynamite: Fyter Fest Week 2 on July 20. He has since competed on the independent scene, as well as for NJPW STRONG.
