While The Elite may be in the final of the AEW Trios Championship Tournament, they were viciously attacked after AEW Dynamite (August 31) went off air.
After AEW Dynamite was over, Kenny Omega addressed the crowd along with the Young Bucks, still in the ring.
However, Will Ospreay and and Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) certainly didn’t leave Chicago in defeat as they executed a vicious attack on The Elite.
Striking from behind while Omega was wrapping up his chat to the crowd, the trios kicked off again with a violent end of the night for the Elite.
Never fear however, the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega posed for pics on Twitter to suggest that they are on the mend in advance of their big final match at AEW All Out.
The Elite will be going on to the final of the AEW Trios Championship Tournament to face the winner of the the AEW Rampage bracket semi-final set for Friday, September 2, 2022.
After a series of events found both 10 and Evil Uno unable to team with John Silver and Alex Reynolds on behalf of the Dark Order, Hangman Adam Page stepped in.
It will now be Page, Silver and Reynolds versus the Best Friends (Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy) on AEW Rampage to determine who will face the Elite in the final.
In footage released by AEW, you can check out the entire post-match angle below.
