The shocking finish of tonight’s one-year anniversary NXT 2.0 show saw the crowning of a surprising new champion.
The main event was set to be an NXT North American Championship match, with Carmelo Hayes to defend the title against a fan voted opponent.
The fans voted for Wes Lee to be the challenger, but Hayes and Trick Williams took him out backstage before the match, leaving Hayes without an opponent.
Solo Sikoa then made his shocking return to NXT, less than a week after he was officially inducted into the Bloodline, and defeated Hayes to become the new North American Champion.
