AEW President Tony Khan has teased that he might have a trick up his sleeve heading into the September 21 AEW Grand Slam event.
Not only will AEW hold their live Dynamite: Grand Slam taping on Wednesday night, Friday’s Rampage: Grand Slam special will also be taped.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan noted that tonight’s tapings will be “the closest thing to a pay-per-view on TV we’re going to get,” and “the most stacked four hours we are ever going to present over two hours of Dynamite and two hours of Rampage.”
Khan kept teasing that he might have a ‘trick up his sleeve’ for the special, leading to speculation about surprises the AEW President may have in store.
Both Khan and MJF has teased the latter name’s involvement in the AEW World Championship tournament finals set for Dynamite: Grand Slam. While Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson are slated to square off for the vacant title, MJF could cash in the poker chip he won in the Casino Ladder Match for a shot at the title at any time.
