The old Vince McMahon WWE regime had installed a new edict during the last year, which saw WWE opt against using names that wrestlers had used prior to signing with the company, and also opting against using wrestlers’ real names.
Since the change in regime, the stance on using former names has softened, with stars such as Matt Riddle, Tommaso Ciampa and Austin Theory returning to their former full names.
NXT have recently been airing mysterious videos signifying the return of former RETRIBUTION member T-Bar to the brand. T-Bar was a part of the Black and Gold brand before his call up in 2020, under the name Dominik Dijakovic.
While many expected him to return as Dijakovic, that actually may not be the case, as PWInsider is reporting that Dijakovic is listed under the name ‘Donovan Dijak’ on WWE’s internal roster.
Donovan Dijak was the name that T-Bar used on the independents prior to signing with WWE, so to see him return under that name seemingly implies the edict has been completely abolished.
