A top WWE star is set to portray Cyndi Lauper in the upcoming season three premiere of ‘Young Rock’.
Throughout Young Rock’s run, various former WWE stars and WWE Hall of Famers have been portrayed on the series. Rock star Cyndi Lauper was also an important part of WWE around the time of the first WrestleMania event.
The season premiere of Young Rock, titled ‘The People Need You’, deals with a party that Lauper throws around WrestleMania I in 1985, with Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, Mr. T, Liberace and Lou Albano will also be portrayed in the episode.
Wrestling fans watching will recognise the portrayer of Lauper, a lady billed under the name ‘Rebecca Quin’, also known as former Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
The directors of Young Rock listed Lauper as a potential recurring character in the series, meaning that the episode may not be Becky’s only appearance in the show.
Becky has been out of action with a separated shoulder she suffered in her match with Bianca Belair back at SummerSlam this year, being written off the show following an attack from Damage CTRL the following night.
