WWE has announced an “epic” stat for UK viewership of this past Saturday’s November 5 Crown Jewel 2022 premium live event.
According to WWE, there was “an epic 17% jump” in viewership in the UK compared to Crown Jewel 2021.
Crown Jewel 2021 took place on October 21 last year, which was a Thursday as opposed to it taking place on a Saturday this year.
The card for Crown Jewel 2021 included Seth Rollins vs Edge in a Hell In A Cell match, Goldberg vs Bobby Lashley, Big E defending the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre, and Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar.
Crown Jewel 2022 had the likes of Lashley vs Lesnar, Braun Strowman vs Omos, Bianca Belair defending the Raw Women’s Championship against Bayley in a Last Woman Standing match, and Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul.
It was reported after Crown Jewel by Fightful that the working plan was for WWE’s next show in Saudi Arabia to take place in May 2023, but there’s no firm date set as of yet.
Crown Jewel was WWE’s eighth outing in Saudi Arabia as part of the 10-year deal that was signed back in 2018.
