It’s been two months since the now infamous AEW All Out brawl following the post-show media scrum.
The issues stemmed from comments Punk made during the scrum about the company’s executive vice presidents.
A physical altercation ensued after Punk returned to his locker room, which led to the suspension of all parties involved.
Now, it seems as though the investigation is over, as the Elite seem set to return to the company soon, while Punk seemingly has one foot out of the door.
Reports emerged shortly after the situation that Chris Jericho called Punk a ‘cancer to the locker room’.
Jericho recently spoke to Howie Mandel Does Stuff, the topic of backstage fights in wrestling came up.
Jericho made reference to the All Out media scrum, noting that sometimes the only way to deal with stuff is to just have on not be around anymore.
He said:
“There was a locker room fight that happened a couple months ago between a couple of guys.
“When these things happen, you have to deal with them. Sometimes, the way to deal with it is guys just have to not be there anymore.”
Jericho currently reigns as the ROH World Champion.
He is set to defend the title against Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson and Sammy Guevara in a four-way match at Full Gear.
