YouTuber-turned-wrestler Logan Paul has teased a potential match with former WWE World Champion-turned-actor John Cena.
In a recent interview with Louis Dangoor of Givemesport, WrestleVotes said that John Cena should be making an appearance at the next WrestleMania, and that he “should be wrestling” at the event.
In response to a tweet by WrestleOps reporting on the potential return of Cena at next year’s WrestleMania, Paul tweeted the “shifty eyes” emoji, likely indicating that he is interested in acting as Cena’s opponent at the event.
Paul is no stranger to marquee matches, recently facing Roman Reigns in the main event of WWE Crown Jewel this past Saturday (November 5) in a valiant performance.
Reigns ultimately retained the title, but the match – and Logan’s performance in particular – was highly praised.
Paul’s match against Reigns was only his third ever, after a tag team match with the Miz against the Mysterios at WrestleMania 38, and a singles match against the Miz at SummerSlam 2022.
Paul is currently recovering from injuries sustained in his match again Reigns, including (according to Paul) a torn meniscus, MCL & potentially ACL.
Paul is not the only one to express interest in facing Cena, as both LA Knight and Austin Theory made similar tweets indicating they would like to fill that spot at next year’s show of shows.
Cena has not wrestled since his match with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam in 2021.
2022 seems set to be the first year since his debut that Cena hasn’t wrestled for WWE.
