As previously covered, Kenny Omega thanked KENTA for letting him use the GTS/G2S on the November 23 edition of AEW Dynamite.
Omega utilised the finisher, which is notably associated with CM Punk, during the second match in the Trios Championship Best of 7 series.
The match included a few spots that seemed to be on the shady side and directed toward CM Punk in his hometown of Chicago.
Kenny Omega took to social media to thank KENTA after the bout for letting him use the move, referencing their time in Bullet Club.
KENTA has since responded to Kenny Omega’s tweet, writing:
“YOU ARE WELCOME
BUT…”
The tweet included a gif from a former spot between Omega and KENTA.
The clip was captioned with KENTA telling Omega to ‘shut the f**k up.’
KENTA used GTS before CM Punk and has been vocal in the past about his disapproval of CM Punk using it.
Elsewhere in the match, Omega recreated an alleged incident from the All Out backstage altercation, biting Pac’s arm.
This is what it was alleged that Ace Steel did to Kenny Omega.
Matt Jackson also botched the Buckshot Lariat in what many viewed as another reference to Punk.
Those close to CM Punk were reportedly not happy with the six-man tag match.
Recently, Kenny Omega urged fans to let go of the backstage drama surrounding All Out.
