Coming into wrestling as the son of a legend is a daunting task but a WWE Hall of Famer knows their son is up to the challenge in AEW.
Speaking on the ARN podcast, the legendary member of The Four Horsemen, Arn Anderson, discussed his son, Brock growing up with his father’s legacy:
“I don’t think he feels any pressure.
“I think he pretty much knows and has grown up around the respect I have for this business and everyone that has come before us.”
Arn had previously confirmed that Brock had signed with AEW in March 2021, though wouldn’t make his first on-screen appearance until June 2021.
Speaking of the timely development of Brock’s career so far, Arn set out his expectations of the twenty-five-year-old, saying:
“I just want Brock to be a good employee, be a good partner, be a good opponent, be a good person, be a good guy in the locker room, be a good spokesman for the business.”
“Do all the things where he’s a part of the crew that is liked, respected because he shows respect.”
Naturally, as a veteran of the business, Anderson can see the potential that Brock brings to the ring, stating:
“He speaks well, his talents in the ring, every time he gets a rep he gets a little bit better and he understands and appreciates the critiques that he gets.
“All the things that just go into being a part of the crew that everybody I guess wants to work with.”
Trained by QT Marshall and Raymond Lloyd (the former Glacier from WCW), Brock Anderson has made regular appearances on AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation, as well as making occasional appearances on AEW Dynamite.
He also recently teamed with Jay Lethal and Nick Aldis, facing FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) and Ricky Steamboat at the BTW Return of the Dragon show in Raleigh, North Carolina.
