WWE star Sami Zayn has now compared the Bloodline SmackDown storyline to a popular AMC TV series.
The long-term storyline surrounding Roman Reigns’ faction has been praised by fans for being fresh and compelling.
In the latest major update to the narrative, Honorary Uce Sami Zayn earned the trust of the Bloodline after helping the team score a victory in their WarGames bout at Survivor Series.
Speaking on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, Zayn noted that, similar to fans of Breaking Bad, those following the Bloodline storyline are waiting for one big moment in particular.
Zayn said:
“I’ve been satisfied. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so I watch it back and I’m like man I just wish they had the better shot of that.”
“Even if you watch Breaking Bad, you’re like ‘oh this guy has to go down eventually. But you don’t know how it’s going to happen
“This story’s been one of the most creatively satisfying stories I’ve ever done, the only thing that comes close is probably stuff with Kevin. It’s very unique.”
In the case of the Bloodline, fans are waiting for the group to turn on Sami Zayn, or vice versa.
Roman Reigns could also be ‘the one who knocks’ in Zayn’s analogy, as fans have been waiting to see who will defeat Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship since he won the gold in August 2020.
Details on WWE’s plans for Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023 were recently revealed, giving fans a hint at the general direction of the group’s arc.
