WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has revealed what former CEO Vince McMahon told him about him being added back into the WWE opening video.
For a while, Ric Flair’s signature ‘Woo’ was one of the first things fans would hear when tuning into WWE programming.
Flair was prominently featured in WWE’s intro video that aired before weekly shows and premium live events.
The wrestling veteran was removed from the WWE intro after the September 16, 2021 ‘Plane Ride from Hell’ episode of Dark Side of the Ring saw allegations against Flair resurface.
Flair was added back into the signature video in July 2022, ahead of Vince McMahon’s official departure from WWE.
At the time, Flair took to Twitter to thank WWE and Vince McMahon for giving him his ‘dignity and life‘ back.
On his To Be A Man podcast, Ric Flair publicly shared the message Vince McMahon sent him on July 4, ahead of him being added back into the WWE intro.
Flair revealed that Vince messaged him the following:
‘Hey Ric, as of tonight’s Raw, you’re back in the opening of our TV show. You’re going to be so proud of your documentary. I always keep my word. happy Fourth, Vince McMahon.’
