CM Punk’s name is still fresh on the mind of AEW fans three months after the infamous AEW All Out media scrum.
The backstage altercation between CM Punk and the Elite following the scrum has left a black cloud hovering over a lot of the promotion.
Recently, AEW star Dax Harwood launched his new FTR With Dax Harwood podcast, where he discussed his relationship with CM Punk, and his perspective on the incident.
Dax ended the segment with a plea to all four men involved to work things out, and to come together to make money for AEW and the future of professional wrestling.
The sentiment on Punk is not shared by everyone in AEW, with several top stars, including Chris Jericho, claiming they would ‘make sure’ Punk is not brought back into the company.
Speaking about the situation and Dax’s podcast on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez noted that there were people in AEW ‘not happy’ about Dax’s podcast and comments.
They said:
Meltzer: “From what I heard from different people, not the people who you probably heard from, they were not particularly happy at all about this.”
Alvarez: “All I heard the other day was how unhappy people were about that podcast.”
Meltzer then followed up, saying that he believes the company needs a company meeting to address the situation.
He added:
“This is what they need, I’ve said this before and they’ve done it. They need a team meeting on Wednesday in Seattle.
“They need to get this stuff cleared up and get everyone on the same page because they’re not…”
