WWE SmackDown star Karrion Kross has commented on the locker-room reaction to Vince McMahon’s WWE return.
After announcing his retirement in July 2022 amid an investigation into ‘hush pact’ allegations, Vince returned to the WWE board of directors at the beginning of the year.
Several notable names have parted ways with the company since Vince’s return, including WWE CEO and Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon, who publicly announced her resignation on January 10.
In an interview with the San Antonio Express News, Karrion Kross stated that nobody backstage is afraid for their job following Vince’s return.
Addressing the situation, Kross said:
“It’s in my news feeds, it’s everywhere. It’s inescapable at this point.
“But the people that I have spoken to about it, like my personal friends in the business, no one’s really concerned or afraid for their job.
“All of us are ready to adapt…. I think everyone’s just taking it day by day to see where everything lands, and we’re all trying to remain optimistic.”
Kross was one of a number of stars rehired under the Triple H regime in 2022. He had previously been released by the company in November 2021 during a round of WWE cuts.
