The SmackDown Tag Title Contenders Tournament finals is set for next week.
On the January 27 edition of WWE SmackDown, the semifinals of the tournament to determine the next challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles concluded.
As previously reported, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre were replaced by Braun Strowman and Ricochet who went on to defeat Hit Row to punch their ticket to the finals.
Later in the show, Imperium faced Legado Del Fantasma in the other semifinals bout.
After a bout that had the fans on their feet, Ludvig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci put Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro away with the Imperial Bomb to advance to next week’s finals.
Imperium will now face Braun Strowman and Ricochet to determine who will face The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. This will be a rematch from the Miracle On 34th Street Fight between these two teams on the December 23, 2022 edition of SmackDown.
