Chris Jericho has been gifted the Intercontinental Championship belt he won in 1999 by Dan Lambert of American Top Team.
Jericho notably won his first Intercontinental Championship from Chyna in December 1999, just four months after making his WWE debut.
The current AEW star ultimately held the IC Title 9 times for a combined total of 311 days during his WWE tenure.
At the end of a Talk is Jericho taping on Jericho’s Rock ‘n Rager Cruise, the wrestling veteran was gifted the exact championship belt he won back in 1999 by Dan Lambert, who collects title belts.
A Reddit user on board noted that Jericho teared up after receiving the historic hardware.
Jericho last held the WWE Intercontinental Title in 2009, winning the gold from Rey Mysterio at Extreme Rules, before dropping it back to the luchador just 21 days later.
Jericho is currently signed to AEW, and became the company’s inaugural World Champion in 2019.
Jon Moxley recently discussed the gamble he and Jericho took by signing with AEW following their respective runs with WWE.
