Update On Kofi Kingston Ahead Of SmackDown

There is a possible update on Kofi Kingston’s status for this Friday’s SmackDown (March 10) and a big upcoming match.

Twice during the WWE Raw broadcast, an advert ran for this week’s edition of Friday night SmackDown whereby it references the fatal five way to determine who would next the next IC title shot against GUNTHER.

The video continues to feature the originally announced five participants: Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, LA Knight, Karrion Kross as well as Kofi Kingston.

Notably Kingston was spotted by fans in attendance to have possibly sustained an injury at the SmackDown taping with Kingston himself later posting to social media showing his foot wrapped.

While it is possible the advertisements simply haven’t been updated yet (card subject to change!) it isn’t clear so we’ll have to continue to await an official report on Kofi Kingston’s status before SmackDown.

Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE Raw, a powerful new alliance seems to have formed and Logan Paul returned to WWE.
