A major John Cena match that was scrapped from WrestleMania 39 is reportedly ‘on the table’ for SummerSlam.
Prior to John Cena’s return to WWE and match with United States Champion Austin Theory, rumours had emerged that the company were planning a match between Cena and Logan Paul for the show.
The match never took place, with Logan Paul set to face Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins instead, but both parties were reportedly very interested in the match.
In an update with GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes has noted that the match is currently ‘very much on the table’ for SummerSlam, due to Logan loving the idea and Cena being ‘very much down’.
They said:
Logan loved the idea and Cena was totally down it. They’d have made mega money and it’s just a matter of when. They want to tell a good story because they’re megastars, so there’s got to be a reason.
The match is very much on the table, even at a SummerSlam. All parties involved want to do it.
Logan Paul is set to host a special WWE Raw episode of Impaulsive on next week’s show in St Louis.
