AEW star Dax Harwood of FTR has now shared his honest thoughts on WWE’s recent booking of Jimmy and Jey Uso.
Harwood and Wheeler made their AEW returns at the Revolution pay-per-view, following speculation that they could’ve been set to return to WWE.
Speaking on his FTR podcast, Harwood spoke with Matt Koon about potential opponents for FTR.
When asked about WWE dream matches, Harwood noted that he’d love for 2023 FTR to face The Usos, noting that he wanted to be presented as strong as they currently are in WWE.
Explaining why he has a chip on his shoulder, Harwood said:
“Of course, first on the list has got to be The Usos. Right? They’re probably the most over tag team in the world right now, and I say that with a chip on my shoulder.
“That pisses me off because I feel like that’s what I think we should be presented and how we should be presented.
“Like, you could take those guys, singles or tag, and put them in a main event spot right now and no one would bat an eye on it and they could work with anybody.”
Since leaving WWE in 2020, Harwood and Wheeler have firmly established FTR as one of the top tag-teams in the world, with the group holding tag-team gold for AEW, ROH, AAA and NJPW in recent years.
Harwood has now explained the lengths AEW went to in order to keep FTR’s return at Revolution a secret, which you can read more about right here.
