AEW is set to make it’s debut in Winnipeg tonight (March 15), and former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has received a huge honor ahead of the show.
AEW uploaded a video to their social media showing Jericho being bestowed a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for Manitoba.
The medal is designed to honor Manitobans who have made major contributions to the Providence, with Jericho being a fitting recipient.
The Premier of Manitoba, Heather Stefanson and the Chief of Protocol Brad Robertson visited Jericho backstage at tonight’s Dynamite show to present him with the award.
You can watch Jericho accept the award in the video below.
Jericho will be in action on tonight’s Dynamite show in Winnipeg, teaming with Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia in a three-way Trios Championship match against both the Elite and the House of Black.
Ahead of the show, Jericho also explained why he considers Winnipeg the ‘genesis’ of AEW.
