WWE Star Discusses Their First Babyface Run

WWE Star Discusses Their First Babyface Run WWE

A WWE star has discussed their first babyface run in the company.

Since signing with WWE in 2017, Zelina Vega has worked primarily as a manager, but it has mainly been in a heel role with the likes of Andrade Cien Almas and Angel Garza.

However, Vega recently turned babyface along with Legado Del Fantasma as the group has become aligned with Rey Mysterio as the LWO.

Speaking with Ryan Satin on “Out Of Character”, Zelina discussed what her new experience has been like thus far. She said:

“I’ve never been a babyface before on TV ever, like in my whole 14 years of doing this. So it’s very, very cool, very different, and to add parts of Rey Mysterio into the match I had with Rhea and Dom, that was really fun for me.”

“I’ve always said that I’m never the, ‘Cheer for me,’ kind of person.”

Vega noted how it is easy for Liv Morgan to be a babyface because she genuinely likes people, whereas Zelina doesn’t, but people may find her likeable due to her relatable interests in anime or having seven cats.

Zelina continued on to note that her association with Rey Mysterio may make it easier for fans to like her as well, saying:

“Plus, you can’t hate me when I’m on Rey Mysterio’s side, and I know we’ve had our differences or whatever, but we’re good now. He forgives very easily.”

As previously reported, the Puerto Rican star will challenge Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE Backlash on May 6 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
