It was reported earlier this week that Orlando, Florida was looking to place a bid to host next year’s 2024 Royal Rumble match.
Though Orlando are interested in hosting the event, it’s far from confirmed that will be the case, as many other cities will likely place bids to host the event.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), one of those cities is said to be Tampa Bay, who are ‘very interested’ in making a bid for the event.
This would not be the first time that Tampa would play host for the Rumble, with the city hosting the event back in 1995.
That night, Shawn Michaels won the first of two back to back Royal Rumble matches.
This year’s event took place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, and saw Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley emerge victorious in their respective Royal Rumble matches.
It also hosted the major show closing angle which saw Sami Zayn finally betray the Bloodline, sticking a chair in the back of Roman Reigns.
Tampa Bay is no stranger to major WWE events, hosting both nights of WrestleMania 37 inside Raymond James Stadium back in 2021.
