According to a new report from Fightful Select, one top AEW star is set to take time off after AEW Double or Nothing 2023.
After successfully defending her TBS Championship against Taya Valkyrie, a surprise opponent was waiting for Jade Cargill.
While Cargill was able to capture the victory over Valkyrie to maintain both her 60 match career undefeated streak and her TBS Championship, she would not be leaving AEW Double or Nothing with the distinctions.
Kris Statlander made her shock return after the match, answering a challenge laid out by Mark Sterling who noted that Jade Cargill had already beaten every opponent.
When Statlander answered the call, Jade didn’t back down and as a fighting champion they went to battle however the fresh from return Kris Statlander was able to beat Jade to win the title.
Now according to a new report from Fightful Select, Jade Cargill is set to take some time off of AEW after Double or Nothing with another interesting note.

Fascinating stuff indeed! Jade remains busy, booked and blessed, even in her down time likely occupied by parenting her adorable daughter as well as co-owning the Texas Smoke professional softball franchise alongside husband and former Major League Baseball player, Brandon Phillips.
Elsewhere already on AEW’s pay-per-view AEW Double or Nothing, Orange Cassidy looked to defend the AEW International Championship, while there was another title change on the night as well.
