A new report has revealed a new AEW star that CM Punk is interested in feuding with.
On the May 31 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan announced that the debut episode of AEW Collision will feature the return of CM Punk.
With the announcement now official, the conversation and speculation has turned to who Punk will feud with upon his return.
Despite various reports circulating about Chris Jericho or Samoa Joe being the first opponent for the former AEW World Champion, a new option has been reported.
Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that word as of late is that CM Punk has taken a liking to the work of Switchblade Jay White and he could be an early opponent or program with Punk along with Bullet Club Gold.
Jay White is currently embroiled in a feud with Ricky Starks and FTR alongside fellow Bullet Club Gold member Juice Robinson.
White will face Starks in a rematch on the June 7 episode of AEW Dynamite with FTR and Juice Robinson banned from ringside.
We will have further updates and news regarding CM Punk’s return for AEW Collision when they become available.
