Just because Roman Reigns wasn’t in the building for WWE SmackDown doesn’t mean there wasn’t still bedlam with the Bloodline on tonight’s show.
The ‘Bloodline Civil War’ match for the upcoming WWE premium live event Money in the Bank may have been announced for next Saturday but on this week’s SmackDown, there has already been a sneak preview.
Jimmy and Jey Uso kicked off WWE SmackDown with a promo, describing how they’re prepared to go to Money in the Bank in London and beat Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, but still accept them with love as family.
However, the rat and snake Paul Heyman? He is not welcome according to the Usos, noting that Roman has continued to alienate his actual family to the point that he is now essentially left isolated and nearly alone on the ‘Island of Relevancy’.
In a backstage segment, Solo Sikoa arrived with Heyman in tow and took his frustrations out on the first person he saw backstage, Ridge Holland, driving him to the ground with a vicious Samoan Spike.
With Sheamus coming up to demand a match with Sikoa by the end of the night as medical staff were attending to Ridge, Adam Pearce would eventually relent and the match was made.
In the main event of the show, Sheamus took on Solo Sikoa in a hard hitting battle but it was the post-match angle that captured attention.
While the match itself ended in a non-finish with referee Jessika Carr ending the match after Sikoa drove Sheamus through a barricade, Sikoa then tangled with his brothers.
With Jimmy and Jey Uso running out and attacking Solo Sikoa, they were about to leave until it appeared Paul Heyman was getting in the ring when both Usos came back.
Delivering a big Uso splash from the corners of the ring, the Usos made it clear to their little brother Solo that he was on his own with Reigns ahead of their match at Money in the Bank.
