There was a “physical confrontation” backstage involving CM Punk at AEW All In at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Before the main pay-per-view began, there was a pre-show that featured HOOK vs Jack Perry for the FTW Championship.
During that match, Perry made a reference to a backstage incident between him and CM Punk weeks ago.
That incident was over Perry wanting to use real glass for a segment that involved smashing glass, which Punk objected to the idea of.
During his match against HOOK today, Perry slammed HOOK onto a car windscreen, and then said to the camera, “Real glass. Go cry me a river”.
It’s not confirmed at this point if that situation was related, but in the time after Perry’s match and before Punk’s match – which was the match after Perry’s that opened the main pay-per-view – there was a backstage confrontation between the two according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.
We’ll keep you updated with any more details as they emerge.
