An AEW star has warned fans to not expect any common modern wrestling tropes such as flips or superkicks in his upcoming match at AEW All Out On September 3.
Following a contract signing in the AEW All In Zero Hour pre-show, former TNT Champions Powerhouse Hobbs and Miro are set to face-off in singles action for the first time at Chicago’s All-State Arena.
Building to the match, Hobbs spoke with the Under The Ring podcast and gave an idea of what fans can expect to see between the two super-heavyweights.
Touting the match-up as a ‘real big man hoss fight’, Hobbs said:
“I mean, the only expectation that I have is to win. Miro and myself, we go back years back, so we know each other quite well.
“But as far as the fans aspect, I don’t think the fans have seen a real big man hoss fight in AEW yet.
“So it’s not going to be a lot of flippity do’s and superkicks, It’s just going to be two big MFs hitting each other.
“You know, Miro calls himself the big jacked Bulgarian, well, you know, I’m pretty much big, black and jacked, so it’s gonna be heavy-hitting.”
Miro has only competed on three occasions this year, following his return to AEW TV this June on the Collision brand.
