Dave Bautista, better known to WWE fans as just Batista, is joining Pamela Anderson in a new movie by director Gia Coppola.
The Last Showgirl will star Bautista alongside Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka and Billie Lourd.
As revealed by Deadline, The Last Showgirl will follow a ‘seasoned showgirl’ planning for her future after her long-running show ‘abruptly closes’
Struggling with what she should do next, she also seeks to repair the relationship with her daughter who felt she was never as important as the showgirl family.
The script has been written by Up Here, The Good Place and Mozart in the Jungle writer Kate Gersten.
It will be produced by Robert Schwartzman and Natalie Farrey and executive-produced by Kara Durrett and Jesse Burgum.
Speaking about the upcoming movie, Coppola revealed:
“I’ve always wanted to make a movie in Vegas. I’m so proud of our cast and crew, especially Pamela. I can’t wait to share her daring and heartfelt performance!”
Bautista will next be seen in Dune: Part Two which is due for release on March 1, 2024, reprising his role of Glossu Rabban Harkonnen.
Pamela Anderson, as can be seen in the video below, escorted Diesel (Kevin Nash) to the ring for his match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XI.
