Nick Khan has been quoted in a piece about the partnership between WWE and Netflix as Raw moves to streaming in 2025.
In a report from Advanced Television regarding Netflix diversifying the portfolio of entertainment it offers by adding live events with WWE, there was comment from both WWE and TKO executives.
TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro was said to have “applauded the move,” noting how the partnership was mutually beneficial.
While WWE is ‘set to expand its reach’, Netflix would offer live weekly sporting events to subscribers.
The article notes that Netflix had ‘260 million registered subscribers at the beginning of 2024’.
Also, Nick Khan is noted in the piece as also welcome to the collaboration between WWE and Netflix.
Khan reiterated that ‘Netflix’s extensive dominance in the entertainment sector’ made for an ideal home for Raw events.
WWE Raw is set to feature on Netflix in January 2025 after the media rights with current longtime network partner USA Network ends in October 2024.
