A new report has revealed that WWE is interested in AEW star and FTW Champion HOOK when his contract expires.
On the January 17 episode of AEW Dynamite, Samoa Joe defeated HOOK to retain the AEW World Title in the main event.
This proved to be the biggest test for HOOK of his young professional wrestling career so far. Since then, he has been featured more prominently on AEW TV, including his current storyline with Chris Jericho.
However, it seems like the 24-year old star may be interested in seeing what other options is out there for him.
Per SEScoops, HOOK, real name Tyler Senerchia, is interested in exploring his options in free agency once his contract with All Elite Wrestling expires later this year.
The report notes that a source familiar with WWE’s developmental system stated, “I can see WWE clearly being interested in him.”
HOOK is a second-generation talent as the son of wrestling legend and AEW commentator Taz. He signed with AEW in 2020 where he is referred to as “The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil” and is a two-time FTW Champion, which is the title his father made famous in ECW.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on HOOK’s status with AEW when they become available.
