9. Mustafa Ali to AEW
When it comes to misused WWE talent, there is perhaps nobody that has applied to more than Mustafa Ali.
Despite being one of the most gifted in-ring talents in the company, as well as possessing under-utilised promo ability and character work, WWE very rarely let him spread his creative wings on TV.
It would be easy to imagine Ali’s creative freedom to be exercised more-so in AEW than WWE, as well as offering a plethora of mouth-watering first-ever matches for the Chicago native both within AEW as well as with partner promotion NJPW.
With Ali on a 90 day non-compete following his September 21 WWE release, AEW could make a splash with his signing right before 2024 kicks off.
