Moxley definitely put some teasers in his Twitter reintroduction to the world, and many people believe he was suggesting that he’ll be at Double or Nothing on May, 25. If the former WWE Champion does show up for AEW, then he could be a very likely candidate to be the first to carry the title.
He has name recognition and would be appealing to Turner as a lead character on the television show. Obviously, he’s been a champion in WWE and would help with advertising on the backend. However, I’m not 100% sure he will wind up in AEW. There’s still a chance he’s just taking a break from WWE and shows back up when the time is right.
