As ever, a brand new year presents a wealth of possibilities and opportunities for stars to clutch that infamous brass ring; in the form of a big push to superstardom.
Thankfully, unlike previous years, who WWE pushes will no longer be determined by how Vince McMahon feels when he wakes up on any given day.
Under Triple H’s creative, things seem much more well thought out and fair; making predictions ahead of a new year far easier, and without fear that the creative lead will bury a star based on if they sneezed in their presence or not.
Coupling with what we’ve seen in 2023, along with some backstage reports we have compiled a list of 10 stars who could be set for a big year in 2024.
Many are rising stars; some are more established names; either way it’s going to be interesting to see how these stars do in 2024.
10. GUNTHER
After a year of complete dominance in 2023, surely 2024 is when GUNTHER breaks out as a main event player in WWE.
The Ring General would have been many people’s first or second choice to win the 2024 Royal Rumble, however CM Punk’s return has now made this seem less likely.
While GUNTHER would probably be the best choice in many ways, it seems like Cody Rhodes or Punk make more sense from a storytelling perspective, with huge matches involving Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins on the table.
So, if the Austrian is made to wait for his big break I hope WWE at least give him something comparatively huge at WrestleMania, such as a dream match with Brock Lesnar.
A win over Lesnar in what could be his last WWE match would be career-defining for the Intercontinental Champion and can be the precursor to him finally putting the mid-card behind him later in the year.
