4. A ‘Real Americans’ Callback
Claudio Castagnoli and Jake Hager find themselves on opposite teams in the Blood & Guts match tonight, but that wasn’t the case for a while in WWE, where they were a tag team known as the Real Americans.
Many fans do have a bit of a sweet spot for this team and have fond memories, with a lot of people seeing it as the high point – or at least one of the most memorable and least offensive points – of Hager’s career.
A little one-on-one staredown during the Blood & Guts match would be sure to get the crowd involved with chants of ‘We The People’, and it would just be a nice little fun easter egg to throw in.
