5 WWE Stars Whose Stock Has Risen Since WrestleMania 37 & 5 Whose Stock Has Fallen

Stock Up – Sami Zayn

From wrestling his best friend to tangling with Johnny Knoxville, the past 12 months have really been eye opening in regards to Sami Zayn and his role in WWE.

It’s easy to look at a feud with a non-wrestler as a negative, but Sami and Knoxville have been putting in the most to make their match one of the most highly anticipated on the show of shows. Add onto that a fat new contract that Zayn signed, and the fact that he literally either gave away his real phone number, or bought a whole second phone, in order to get his wrestling angle over, and yeah WWE definitely sees the value in Sami.

A thrown together clash with Kevin Owens, while a better match on paper, was definitely a step down from this year, where he was one of the first names pencilled in for the show.

Stock Down – Apollo Crews

Things were looking up for Apollo Crews throughout the pandemic. From a sudden rise, to capturing the United States Championship, to a move to SmackDown, Apollo’s year was capped off with an Intercontinental Championship victory over Big E.

A year later and yeah, Apollo isn’t getting on the show. He and Commander Azeez were beaten in a two-on-one handicap match with Omos on the most recent episode of Raw as of this writing.

Don’t expect to see Apollo on the show this year, unless the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal makes it’s return to the grandest stage.
