WWE
Coming out of WWE SummerSlam 2026, there could be several major changes to the tag team division moving forward.
Looking at the current landscape of the tag team scene, several duos could be on their way to splitting up at some point.
Following WWE SummerSlam 2026, multiple tag teams might be going their separate ways in the weeks and months to come.
Here are six WWE tag teams to potentially split up after SummerSlam 2026.
6. Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom)

Nathan Frazer & Axiom held the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships for 356 days across two reigns.
In 2025, Fraxiom got called up to the WWE main roster and became part of the Friday Night SmackDown tag team division.
During their time on the NXT brand, Nathan Frazer and Axiom established themselves as one of the best tag teams in not only the company but the entire world.
Putting on instant classics against a litany of pairings, Fraxiom proved why they are two very talented individuals who create magic together.
Fraxiom splitting up might be the best way for either Frazer or Axiom to find a prominent role on WWE TV coming out of the SummerSlam 2026 premium live event.
5. The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend)

Lash Legend and Nia Jax have been aligned together since November 2025
In November 2025, Lash Legend made her WWE main roster debut and aligned herself with Nia Jax.
Becoming The Irresistible Forces, Jax and Legend have become one of the premier women’s tag teams in WWE today.
Despite their success as former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, The Irresistible Forces now find themselves on the outside looking in on the title picture.
Jax and Legend breaking up could make for a featured feud between the two ladies to see who is better between the two to put a bow on their pairing.
4. R-Truth & Damian Priest

Damian Priest and R-Truth won the WWE Tag Team Championships on the March 20 episode of SmackDown, defeating The MFTs
Damian Priest and R-Truth took their friendship outside of the squared circle and created a tag team that now sits atop of the SmackDown brand.
Now holding the WWE Tag Team Championships, Truth and Priest have developed into a formidable duo together.
Known as Wepa Up, Priest and Truth are on the verge of a huge title unification bout against AAA World Tag Team Champions The War Raiders.
If they lose that bout, Priest and Truth might need to go their separate ways to close the book on their partnership.
3. Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

Street Profits have been off WWE TV since losing the World Tag Team Championships back to The Vision on the July 6, 2026 episode of Raw.
On the July 6 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Austin Theory defeated Street Profits to win the WWE World Tag Team Championships.
Since this loss, fans have not seen Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins appear on WWE TV over the past few weeks.
In 2025, Street Profits teased a breakup following their previous loss of the titles and looked to be going their separate ways moving forward.
While they stayed together and won gold this year, it might be the right time for Ford and Dawkins to finally split and explore their options outside of the tag team division.
2. Paige & Brie Bella

Paige and Brie Bella captured the Women’s Tag Team Championship in Paige’s return match at WrestleMania 42, and lost the gold at the July 18 instalment of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Paige made her return to the company to replace Nikki Bella and team with Brie Bella to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
After proving to be fighting champions, Brie and Paige finally lost the titles to Fatal Influence on the July 18 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
While they will team with Nikki Bella against the trio of Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid at WWE SummerSlam 2026, this may prove to be their last time teaming together.
Brie and Nikki Bella turning on Paige feels almost inevitable and could be an emotional moment thanks to the bond the three women have formed over the years.
1. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were reportedly set for a match at WWE SummerSlam 2025 before the pair ended up clicking too well on television.
At WWE SummerSlam 2026, Charlotte Flair will try to become a 15-time world champion when she competes in the five-way ladder match for the interim WWE Women’s Championship.
Flair will also be looking to get a measure of revenge on Jade Cargill after she was responsible for injuring Alexa Bliss.
However, there is a chance that Bliss might blame Flair for her recent arm injury and want to cut ties from her friend.
Bliss returning at WWE SummerSlam 2026 to cost Flair the title might be a compelling story to watch unfold coming off the heels of ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer.’
