Title Change At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

A title change has taken place at tonight’s July 18, 2026 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event inside Madison Square Garden.

Tonight’s card of four matches only included one title match, which saw the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship put on the line.

This match opened the show – other than the Trick Williams vs Laredo Kid match on the pre-show – and resulted in new champions being crowned.

Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid picked up the win to become WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, defeating Hall of Famer Brie Bella and Paige.

Bella and Paige had been champions since WrestleMania 42 in April when Paige made her return to WWE as the replacement for the injured Nikki Bella.

The title win marks Lainey Reid’s first championship in WWE, while Henley has previously been NXT Women’s North American Champion and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Kiana James.

WWE Failing To Capitalize On Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne

WWE has crowned Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley as the new Women’s Tag Team Champions, but the other member of Fatal Influence has yet to experience the same success.

Jacy Jayne, the leader of the group and two-time NXT Women’s Champion, burst onto the main roster with a competitive match against WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and a win against Charlotte Flair.

Jayne was getting major heel reactions from the crowd, but WWE has since cooled her off, with losses against the likes of Paige and Tiffany Stratton, the latter of which means Jayne is not involved in the Interim WWE Women’s Title ladder match at SummerSlam.

In WWE’s mind, Reid and Henley winning the Tag Title likely makes amends for the booking of Jayne, but that isn’t really the case and she should be highlighted better in her own right.
