Major WWE Event Moves To Bigger Venue Due To ‘Unprecedented Demand’

A major upcoming WWE event has officially been moved to a bigger venue due to “unprecedented demand.”

For the first time in the event’s storied history, AAA TripleMania 34 will take place across two nights and two locations on Friday, September 11 and Sunday, September 13.

Night One of TripleMania 34 will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada – making it also the first time AAA’s premier event is being held outside of Mexico, while Night Two is being hosted at Mexico City’s Arena CDMX.

TripleMania 34 Night One was originally announced to be held at the Luxor Hotel & Casino, but now, due to “unprecedented demand,” WWE has confirmed that the event has been moved to the larger venue of the MGM Grand Garden Arena, also in Las Vegas.

WWE’s full announcement reads:

July 30, 2026 – To meet the unprecedented demand for the first-ever two-night, two-country Triplemanía this September, lucha libre promotion AAA today announced that the previously sold-out Friday, September 11 event scheduled for Luxor in Las Vegas will now be held at the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena. The event date and start time will remain unchanged. 

An exclusive WWE presale for tickets to the MGM Grand Garden Arena will begin Monday, August 3, at 10am PT ahead of the general public on sale beginning Tuesday, August 4 at 10am PT, via AXS.com.

Fans who have already purchased tickets will soon receive further information. 

AAA continues its strong run, following recent critically acclaimed events including Noche de Los Grandes and Verano de Escándalo. Triplemanía 33 in August 2025 at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City drew a record attendance crowd of 19,691 and became the most-viewed and highest-grossing Triplemanía in event history.  

This year’s event will showcase the best talent of AAA including Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterio, Hijo del Vikingo, Psycho Clown, La Catalina, Rey Fenix and many more. 

The full match cards for AAA TripleMania 34 have yet to be confirmed, but Dominik Mysterio is set to defend his AAA Mega Championship against number one contender El Grande Americano on Night Two in Mexico City.

Venue Change For AAA TripleMania 34: A Tangible Sign Of AAA’s Successful 2026

In what has been AAA’s first calendar year under the WWE umbrella, the Mexican promotion has risen to new heights when it comes to popularity and positive fan sentiment, both in Mexico and the United States.

With AAA booker The Undertaker receiving plaudits from AAA’s top star Dominik Mysterio, the one hour AAA on FOX show is channeling a similar energy that Black and Gold era NXT did during the mid to late 2010s – a concise and entertaining one hour broadcast with no filler, compelling stories and action.

AAA has been a breath of fresh air for many at a time when WWE’s booking of Raw and SmackDown has been criticized for being stale and overly formulaic from week-to-week, so it’s little surprise to see WWE open up more of an opportunity for fans to check out it’s biggest show of the year: TripleMania 34.
